“Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.”
Love is a topic discussed by many and understood by few. It is a contradictory feeling. How can one emotion make you feel unconquerable one moment and tear you to pieces a little while later?
People show their love in different ways. Some put their goals on hold to support their partner; others use material things to express their affection. Whatever way they choose, it will be obvious that they are in love. Love should always be giving and endless. True love is two halves combining to make a whole, and the world is viewed differently. They will have found their counterpart, their ally, their supporter, their true love.
If we allowed ourselves to express love freely and not just to our partners, friends, or family, there would be less conflict. A small act of kindness, a genuine gesture of appreciation, even a few nice words to a person, are all acts of love. “Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins” (Prov.10:12). Hate causes conflicts, but love can cure all.
Lastly, being in love is similar to having a super hero trait: x-ray vision. X-ray vision allows someone to see things that are not visible to the naked eye. If we used our “x-ray love” vision, we are able to see the potential in others. We choose to see the hidden characteristics that people are too afraid to show the world, we will see their inner beauty. X-ray vision allowed me to see my husband in a way no one else can. My closest loved ones told me our relationship would not work, that I could find someone better. I disagreed because I saw a light inside him no one else could. No one loves him as I do.
So take the time out to express your affection and appreciation to the ones you love, and make an effort to show love to others. Life will be more fruitful than ever before.
